Yeah, I'm going to Artfest 2011

Yeah, I'm going to be teaching at Artfest next year, although I don't look really happy in this picture, I'm trying to look like a serious artist, haha! This is one of my classes, lush layered canvas, these are a few of the canvas laid out on the floor that I am sitting on. More pictures to come!

  5. You DO look like a serious artist. But anyone who sits on top of her work has got to be a fun teacher!

I had a GREAT time in your class. Very glad to meet you and glad I painted for two days. I really needed that much time with the new techniques. These are the skills I was looking for- to be painting my own cloth, rather than always using commercial prints. I am so inspired to be making my own fabric for the things I sew.

I came right home and have been busily making my own stencil symbols. A set of images that are meaningful to my life currently-abstract symbols and shapes, and specific things like hummingbird, sewing machine, healing hands, specific words.

I wanted to also mention how great your packets are. Really thoughtfully put together reference material, with gorgeous samples. Thank you so much. You are a wonderful teacher.

I volunteer teach children of different ages, and always happy to pick up new skills that I can pass along to them. I'm inspired to create a packet of inspirations to go along with my upcoming class at Outdoor school- Forest Journals.

I have finished my two portraits that I started in class, and will send you photos. :-)

Thanks again for your great classes! -Alysse
